THE COLLEGE OF ARMS FOUNDATION
WORKING WITH THE COLLEGE OF ARMS TO PROMOTE
KNOWLEDGE AND AWARENESS OF ENGLISH HERALDRY
IN THE US
The Foundation was incorporated in New York State in 1983 originally for the purpose of raising funds towards the upkeep and renovation of the College of Arms building in London and to promote the study of heraldry. In 2001, the Foundation's focus was changed to promote knowledge of, and interest in, English heraldry in the United States.
The Foundation is independent of the College of Arms in London; however, its effectiveness relies upon the goodwill and cooperation of the College and, more specifically, the Heralds, who are the custodians of the ancient arts and traditions of heraldry in England. The Foundation also liaises with the College of Arms Trust, a UK entity.
The Internal Revenue Service recognized the Foundation as a 501(c)(3) entity. The Foundation's EIN is 13-3152635.
The College of Arms Foundation office is situated at:
216 East 45th Street - Suite 901
New York, NY 10017-3304 USA
The Foundation welcomes all persons interested in heraldry, and in particular English heraldry, to participate in its activities.
